candidates in a database we keep alive

  • Genuine roots in the Filipino community in Spain Donna Jade, our co-founder, is part of it. That opens doors no job board can open.
  • Updated daily, not a dusty archive We keep it current over WhatsApp: who is available now, who wants to move house, whose contract ends this month.
  • References cross-checked inside the network Beyond calling former employers, we ask within the community itself — where no CV can be inflated.
  • English-speaking profiles, ready for international households Most of our candidates speak fluent English — ideal for expat families in Spain and for employers relocating to another European country.

We work with candidates of any nationality. The Filipino community is simply where our network is deepest — which for you means better profiles and a shorter wait.

Candidate profiles

This is how we introduce
every candidate.

Before each interview you receive a profile like these: experience, strengths, languages and the rating from her references, whom we have called one by one.

Live-in, live-out or hourly

Which arrangement
fits your home?

It isn't only about cost: working hours, rest periods and the nature of the relationship all change. Here are the essentials, in plain terms.

Live-in

01

Resides in the home. The arrangement with the widest availability and continuity.

Working hours
Maximum 40 hours of effective work per week, plus any agreed on-call presence (up to 20 hours weekly on a monthly average, either paid or compensated with time off).
Rest periods
36 consecutive hours of weekly rest. Between working days, 12 hours — reducible to 10 if they sleep in the home, with the difference compensated within 4 weeks.
Best for
Families with young children, elderly relatives at home, or large properties that need someone always on hand.

Live-out

02

Works at your home on a stable schedule and returns to their own.

Working hours
Typically between 20 and 40 hours per week, on the schedule you agree. Legal maximum: 40 hours of effective work.
Rest periods
36 consecutive hours of weekly rest and 12 hours between the end of one working day and the start of the next.
Best for
Households that want routine and one trusted person, without providing accommodation.

By the hour

03

Specific days and time slots for well-defined needs.

Working hours
From just a few hours per week, on the days you set. Contributions are based on hours actually worked.
Rest periods
As per the agreed schedule. Social security registration is the employer's responsibility from the first hour worked.
Best for
Weekly cleaning and ironing, seasonal reinforcement or occasional help.

Frequently asked

What people ask us most.

How long until I see candidates?

Usually your first profiles arrive within 72 hours of defining the role. Because we are not posting an ad and waiting for replies, we start with people we have already interviewed and who are available now.

What exactly does the replacement guarantee cover?

If the person hired does not pass their trial period, or the working relationship ends within the first three months, we run a fresh search at no additional cost. The guarantee covers up to two replacements and, after the first, the three-month period restarts in full from the new person's start date.

When do I pay, and what if I don't hire anyone?

You pay once, on the day the contract is formalised or the person starts. Advice, shortlisting, reference checks and interviews are free: if you decide not to hire, there is no charge whatsoever.

Can I book online, without signing paperwork?

Yes. Under Fees, choose your plan, enter your billing details and confirm. You immediately receive an email with the booking summary and all the terms: online acceptance is fully valid under Spanish law (Law 34/2002). You pay on hiring; if you hire no one, you are not charged anything.

How much does a household employee cost per month in Spain?

At the 2026 minimum wage, a full-time employee costs the family about €1,742 a month: €1,424.50 gross plus €317.24 in social security. It depends on the salary you agree, the hours and the number of payments; work out your exact case with our cost calculator.

Who is the legal employer — you or me?

You are. We act purely as a recruitment and introduction agency: the employment relationship is established directly between your household and the person hired, under Spanish Royal Decree 1620/2011, which governs domestic employment.

If you would rather not handle the contract, the social security registration or the monthly payslips, our payroll service takes care of all of it.

Do you work outside Madrid and Barcelona?

Yes. We recruit throughout Spain. Madrid and Barcelona are our base and where our network is deepest, but we take assignments in any province and also work with employers relocating to another European country who need staff at their destination. Get in touch and we'll assess it, free of charge.

Why do you highlight Filipino candidates?

Because that is the community where our network is deepest and where we can verify references most reliably. Many of these candidates also bring years of domestic experience and a good level of English, which international households value highly.

That said, we recruit candidates of any nationality. What we look for is the fit with your home, not a particular passport.

How do you verify references?

We personally call previous employers, one by one, whenever they can be reached. We also cross-check within the community itself, where a recommendation — or the absence of one — says far more than any CV.
